It looks like Zsombor Garát will be playing with for the Austin Bruins of the NAHL after all. The Bruins had drafted Garáth in the first round and 11th overall in this past years entry draft.

Garát had been in training camp of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the USHL with fellow Hungarian Bence Stipsicz. After playing the final preseason game Garát was informed that he will not be with the team for the upcoming season.
“Unfortunately I did not make it past the final cut and onto the roster. The Head Coach said that they would not have been able to give me the ice time that they had originally would have liked to, and maybe the NAHL would be a better option for me.” said Zsombor Garát after not making the team. “I drove to Austin, who had drafted me right after i was informed”
Austin Minnesota is just over a two hour drive directly north of Cedar Rapids, and was already in the lineup for the Bruins first preseason game.
