Hungary-Ukraine 9-3
The coaching staff stuck with the winning goalie in net as Dávid Kovács was between the pipes and Martin Szeles was his backup. Alex Kovács moved up to the first line with Bálint Horváth and Nátán Vértes. Kristóf Papp centered a line with Szalma and Mihály, with the trio of Révész Császár and Madácsi as the third line. The fourth line was Donát Péter, Kreisz and Dézsi with Andor Péter as the 13th forward. The defensive pairings were Sándor with Fejes, Kiss with Vas, and Bugár stayed with Seregély.

In the second minute of play Felix Morozov got around the defenders and put the puck past Kovács high blocker side for the early 1-0 lead. It was quickly 2-0 after Hungary could not get the puck out Peresunko had a shot from the slot that doubled the Ukraine lead. Hungary got their confidence back after they killed an early power play. After the early difficulties Hungary settled down and started to move the puck well. There was a bit of commotion in front of the Ukraine net, Mihály pulled the puck out and put it up to the blue line where Vas took a long shot that made it through traffic and into the back of the cage. Late in the opening period Hungary had their first power play of the game, they moved the puck well and had shots on net but were unable to score. Late in the period Hungary was short handed, Kovács made a number of saves.

The first period started off with Nátán Vértes hitting the post. Hungary had an early power play where they had a number of chances on net as Fejes and Sándor had shots from the blueline and Szalma worked through traffic as well, however the opposing goalie stood his ground. As the period went on Hungary started to put pressure on the Ukraine net. Hungary had chance to score on their next power play when Papp had shot from the slot that went over the crossbar. On the next shift Hungary did tie the game up, Dézsi made a nice cross ice saucer pass to Császár who waited for the opportunity and lifted the puck over the goalie for the power play goal. Hungary took their first lead of the game when Bálint Horváth put the puck down in the corner to Vértes who centered, Andor Peter came onto the puck and onetimed it from close range. Hungary looked like the stronger team as the period went on. Hungary took two goal lead when Papp put in a rebound off of a Seregély shot. The Hungarian goals kept on coming, after an odd man rush, the Ukraine goalie made the initial save but Donát Péter was on the spot to put the rebound in for the 5-2 lead.
In the first minute of play in the third period Hungary opened up a four goal lead when Andor Péter made a cross crease pass to Bálint Horváth who put the puck into the empty net. The goals kept on coming as Madácsi set up Császár with a back door pass to make it 7-2. Hungary had a two man advantage just before the midway point of the period, but Ukraine managed to kill both penalties. As the game went on Ukraine was not really able to do much, they killed another penalty late in the game. The two teams exchanged goals in the final minutes, Seregély set up Alex Kovács for a shot the blue line that made it 8-2. Peresunko scored less than 20 seconds later to make it 8-3. This was followed up by a fight between Kreisz and Kozachuk which ended with both players being tossed from the game. The excitement did not end there as Papp tacked on a ninth goal from the slot for the 9-3 win. The best player for Hungary was goalie Dávid Kovács.
