The U18 and U17 coaching staff have set their final traveling rosters for the tournaments that they will be taking part in during the February international break.
Head coach Bence Svasznek had his coaching staff cut four players, two forwards and two defencemen. Gergely Ambrus did not make the team because of an injury, Tamás Ortenszky was sent down to the U17, Roland Farkas, Dániel Parragi and András Horváth were cut.
The U18 will be playing in Italy against the host nation along with France and Slovenia with the U17 team playing on home ice in the Tüskecsarnok against Ukraine and Belarus, everyone will play each other twice.
Bence Svasznek, head coach: We overall we did see what we wanted to from the players during the practices but it is the games that will really count for us. We looked at a numbed of factors when we made the final roster cut, which was a really hard decision for us. Gergely Ambrus has an injury and we thought it would be better for him to rest for the playoffs. However the rest of the decisions were very hard for us. It is great that we are at the level that there are more players that are at the level that we need than we have spots.
