U16: Hungary picks up second win in Vancouver

Head coach Bence Svasznek kept on rotating his goalies as this time József Pesti was in net, with Zsombor Ollári serving as the backup and Tamás Monostori having the day off. Hungary started scoring early in the game as they went up 1-0 by the way of Balázs Varga. Later in the period on the first power play of the game Márk Schlekmann scored off of a backdoor feed to make it 2-0. With only seconds to go in the opening period Tamás Ortenszky set up Dániel Csölle for the third Hungarian goal of the game.

In the second period Hungary pulled away from Prince George, however the fourth goal was not scored until the 12th minute of the period, when Mátyás Tornyai scored off of a pass from Zsombor Galajda. Less than a minute later Hungary had opened a 5-0 lead, this time it was Levente Keresztes with the goal. Later in the period Bence Szalmás made it 6-0 with Keresztes scoring his second goal of the period with only seconds left as Hungary took a 7-0 lead into the second intermission.

In the final period of play it was all about Márk Schlekmann as he scored twice to complete his assist, he ended up finishing the game with three goals and two assists. Pesti went the distance for the shutout win. Hungary will be back on the ice on the 28th as they take on Mission AZ U18 from the Phoenix Arizona area.
