The president of the Zalai Titánok Kft. and the person most responsible for the rebirth of ice hockey in Zalaegerszeg, Tibor Neubauer has passed away at the age of 45.
Tibor Neubauer has passed away in a tragic automobile accident. Rival club, the Szombathelyi Pingvinek had the following to say about Neubauer: Zalaegerszeg hockey has improved tremendously thanks to the work that Neubauer had put into the club at the youth level. He was a charismatic person with great leadership skills. The Zalai Titánok had been taking everything step by step as they built up the youth system and the club had a team competing in just about every age group. They had plans to be in the ERSTE Liga in the near future. The passing of Tibor Neubauer is a great loss for the world of ice hockey.
