Fanni Gasparics is satisfied with this past season expect that her team did not win the league title in Russia. However she has big dreams with regards to the national team.

How would rate this past season for you?
This season like last season Agidel Ufa, my team in Russia, finished second in the league behind Moscow. This is a great result in this very strong league, and we just missed out on finishing in first place. Personally I think I had a better season than the year before. I had a great line with my two linemates, one coming from Slovakia and the one being Russian. In the end I finished with 48 points in 36 games.

This was the first time that the Women’s national team played in the Division 1/A group in the World Championships, what was this experience like?
Division 1/A is a lot more stronger group compared to Division 1/B, a different type of hockey was played. We had great results as we won two games with victories over Denmark and France. However we did not score as many goals as we would have liked to. We did not take advantage of all of our scoring chances like we would have liked to. We were tired by the time we played our final game, and this was reflected in the mistakes we made against Norway, a bronze medal would have been nice. We accomplished what we wanted and that was not to finish last in the group. With the experience that we gained we and with hard work we can surprise some people next year.

What are you goals for next season?
I would like to win the league title in Russia and it would be great to play in the All-Star game again. Since I am a forward I would like to score as much as I can to help my team win. Picking up a medal at the World Championships would be great goal but I am willing to say that we can move up to the A-Pool.

How much is this in front of you that the A-Pool is a reality as it was expanded from 8 to 10 teams?
Yes this is a goal that is in front of us, this is the pinnacle for any female hockey player. I don't know if we will do this in the next couple of years or would it happen later on in the future.
