Sevela shutout Galati, Brasov and UTE win close games

Galati was not able to follow up their win against MAC with another win in Budapest, Brasov and UTE both let their opponents get back into the game in the third period.

UTE-SC 4-3
Csíkszereda was looking to get out of their slump and went back to Gellért Ruczuj in net, UTE had Ales Sila as the starting goalie. Csíkszereda surprised UTE in the opening minutes when Nathan Campbell scored to make it 1-0. The lead only lasted until the twelfth minute when András Benk tied it up, by the time the period was over UTE had a 3-1 lead as Ádám Pichler and Martin Turbucz both scored. After a scoreless second period it looked like UTE had the game in the bag as Tamás Gröschl scored a power play goal to go up 4-1. WIth less than ten minutes left in the game Tamás Biró and Dimitri Kovyazin to make it a one goal game but they dod not tie it up.

DHK-Brasov 4-5 OT
Debrecen was hoping to get a step closer to the top half of the league with Brasov wanted a good road trip. The home team had Dávid Gyenes in net with Zoltán Tőke playing for Brasov. Zsolt Molnár had the Romanian team up 1-0 on a power play goal in the first period. The scoring picked up in the second period as Brasov opened up a 3-0 lead on goals by Attila Imecs and Toma Klempa. Later in the period Artyom Vaszjunyin cut into the three goal deficit but exactly a minute later MOln;r scored his second of the game to make it 4-1. For the third period Debrecen switched goalies as József Pleszkán came in for Gyenes. The move paid off as Debrecen scored three unanswered goals in the final period as Vaszjunyin scored his second of the game with Dávid Molnér and Norbert Hári also finding the back of the net. In overtime Klempa scored the game winner as Brasov salvaged two points after blowing a three goal lead.

FTC-Galati 3-0
After beating the league leaders on Sunday night Galati came back down to earth after they took on Ferencváros. As expected Peter Sevela and Vlastimil Lakosil were the two starting goalies. Jereme Tendler scored early in the game for Ferencváros. The home team ended up holding a one goal lead for rest of the first period and all through a scoreless second period. At the start of the third period Mike Schwindt scored a power play goal to double the home team lead. Less than a minute later Ferencváros was up 3-0 as Tendler scored his second of the night. Sevela went the distance for the shutout.
