The match week started and ended with exciting matches as Csíkszereda has won five games in a row to be tied for fourth place with Ferencváros. The first Budapest derby of the season between Ferencváros and UTE was played as the three points stayed in Újpest.

The match week for DVTK had Fejér County feeling as they played host to Fehérvár on Friday and then traveled to Dunaújváros. The opening goal of the game was not scored until late in the first period, however the scoring took off in the second period. By the third minute of the second period DVTK had a 3-1 lead. The second period closed with DVTK up 4-3 as Derek Schoenmakers scored twice for Fehérvár. The two teams exchanged goals in the third, to keep it at a one goal game. Fehérvár pulled the goalie for the extra attacker but DVTK scored their sixth goal for the 6-4 win. In Dunaújváros, DVTK again opened the game up with a scoreless opening twenty minutes. A Pete Sakaris scored broke the ice in the first minute of the second period. János Vas and Adrián Tóth found the back of the net as well as DVTK opened a 3-0 lead. This was all that Diósgyőr needed as goalie Attila Adorján went the distance to the shutout win. Dunaújváros replaced Head Coach David Musial with former DVTK and Debrecen coach Jason Morgan.
MAC traveled to Tranyslvania for their two game road trip against Csíkszereda and Brasov. Csíkszereda has been on a hot streak and they continued as they pulled off the upset behind the great goaltending by Ottó Onodi. Scott Maccaulay and Peter Fabus both scored for their respective teams in the first period. The game stayed tied through 60 minutes of hockey as the score was 3-3. Csíkszereda pulled away on a goal by Zoltán Molnár with the young forward Szilárd Rokaly scoring a power play goal for the 5-3 win. On the second leg of the road trip in Brasov, MAC scored two first period goals by Krisztián Nagy and Wes Cunningham which was enough as MAC took the 2-1 win.
The Vienna Capitals were the other team on a Transylvanian road trip. On the first leg in Brasov the home team jumped out to a 4-0 lead before the game was seven minutes old on goals by Braden Walls, Gergő Bíró, Maksims Sirokovs and Zsombor Molnár. Vienna scored twice in the early minutes of the second period to bring the score up to 4-2. Brasov held on to the win. Csíkszereda started with a scoreless first period against Vienna but ended up picking up a 5-2 wini behind the hat trick of Radim Valchar.
UTE played only one match during the match week however it was an important one as it was the first derby match against their rivals Ferencváros. Jereme Tendler scored on the first shift of the game for Fradi with Arnold Varga and Tamás Virág exchanging scores as Ferencváros had a one goal lead after the first period. In the second period Zsolt Szalma and Erik Caladi twice within in a minute to flip the score. A Justin Cseter goal made it 4-2 for UTE, but before the period was out Vladimir Dubek got Ferencváros back within one. After a scoreless third period UTE held on to the one goal win.
The match week did not start off much better for Ferencváros as they travelled south to Dunaújváros. The home team to the win on home ice thanks to a five minute span in the second period where Daniel Nageler, Arnold Silló and Attila Orbán scored for Dunaújváros to go up 3-0. The final period started with DAB up 3-1 in the final period the two teams exchanged goals as the three points stayed in Fejér county.
