After Hungary defeated Poland on the last day of September 5-1, Poland had a chance to get back at them and they took full advantage of this.

Hungary-Poland 1-4

Head coach Jarmo Tolvanen gave Miklós Rajna the start, Chris Bodó picked up an eye infection and was unable to play, sitting out the first game of the tournament was Bronson Kovács, Bence Bálizs, János Hári and István Terbócs.

After getting a taste of the new style of play the players continued the up tempo forechecking style that they had against Poland in the first game of the season. István Bartalis and Balázs Sebők had chances that went wide of the Polish net. Poland scored first when Pasiut tapped in the puck off of an awkward rebound. Hungary kept the pressure on the Polish net but were not able to create an concrete scoring chances.

The second period started off with Hunagry on the power play, just as the man advantage ended Andrew Sarauer was alone behind the Polish net and fed the puck to Jesse Dudás who one timed it past the goalie to make it 1-1. Less than a minute later Poland went back on top when Szczechura ended up one on one with Miklós Rajna behind the Hungarian defence, Rajna stopped the first two chances but the third one slipped in for the goal. Later in the period Hungary killed a 5 on 3 to keep it at a one goal game. Csanád Erdély redirected a shot from Keegan Dansereau that just missed the net. Hungary was keeping Poland under pressure however Poland made it 3-1 after a scramble in front of the net on a power play.

In the third period Poland came out firing and scored from the slot in the early minutes to go up 4-1. Hungary stuck to the same system but Poland kept on coming and looked strong. In the end Poland held on to the 4-1.
