Hungarian Women’s national team member Lotti Odnoga has decided to continue her hockey career at Dartmouth College starting next season.
Odnoga is spending her third school year as Vermont Academy in Saxtons River, Vermont. Odnoga comes from Győr and is the younger sister of Dunaújváros forward Mátyás Odnoga.
“Dartmouth has always been a type of university that I wanted to get into but I never thought I really had that much of a chance. Dartmouth is an NCAA Div. 1 school that is about 45 minutes from where I live here now. Everyone is great hockey fan and the stands are always full.” said Odnoga.
From the education point of view Lotti has chosen an excellent university. “Dartmouth is an Ivy League school, which is an elite league which has some of the top schools in the country such as Harvard, Yale and Princeton. When the time came to pick a school I knew that would also prepare me for life after hockey.”
Lotti will be spending the next four years of school at Dartmouth but she will not have to decide on what she will study until after her first year however she is leaning towards the health and medical industry.
Odnoga had a list of other schools to pick from as RPI, Union College, Holy Cross, Vermont, Boston University and Dartmouth had offered her scholarships.
