Ákos Kiss and Attila Orbán both scored to open a 3-0 lead by the 20 minute mark. As Argentina was unable to score on the man advantage Hungary capitalized on one by the way of a goal by Kiss. Kis completed his hat trick to make it 5-0 for Hungary.

In the closing period Argentina scored off of a counter attack to end the shutout that Duschek had going, but Hungary scored the final goal as Dávid Szappanos found the back of the net. Duschek was name the player of the game for Hungary.

Head Coach Attila Hoffmann: We took a lot of penalties, this was the reason why we were not able to pick up the pace when we played 4 on 4. But once we were able to get things going we were able to create and take advantage of our scoring chances. We defended well and our goalie played great. We won because we played a smart and disciplined style of hockey. Slovenia a stronger team and they will be playing more of an ice hockey style much like us. If we can play with in our system and mistake free then we can surprise them.
