Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation held its annual congress

The Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation held its annual congress where they made one change to the by-laws.

The congress started off with sports director Gergely Egri summing up the past season for all of the national teams and what they accomplished. He highlighted the success of the women’s national team the Division 1/A World Championships and won promotion to next season’s A-Pool World Championships. On the men's side it was emphasized that more energy needs to be placed the development of the skilled players.

The HIHF financial department gavea  report on the past fiscal year and that the federation is financial stable. This was supported by the external accounting company. The federation also kept up its charitable status throughout the year as well.

Gergely Egri informed the congress about the 2019-20 season program, with general secretary Levente Sipos presenting on next season’s financial expenditures.

The congress voted to change one point in the by-laws. Clubs that are not active in ice hockey, do not take part in any of the leagues and are not registering players in the future their membership could be revoked. The yearly membership fees will be raised from 200,000 HUF to 400,000 HUF.

All topic points were voted on accepted by the congress.
