Galló and Sebők advance to the round of 16

For the first team a Hungarian player will be playing in the round of 16 in the Champions Hockey League, however not one but two players will be playing in the next round as both KalPa and Linköping have made it to the next round.

Djurgarden-KalPa 2-1
After winning the first leg against the Swedish club on home ice Balázs Sebők and KalPa had a tall task as they tried to hold off the strong Swedish club. KalPa went up 1-0 in the first period on a beautifully set up goal as Sebők explained it who assisted on the goal. As Djurgarden scored twice later in the game the early KalPa goal was the reason they advanced on aggregate 3-2 thanks to winning the opening leg at home 2-0. In the next round they will be taking on Swiss club Fribourg-Gottéron.
Balázs Sebők: This means a lot to us as we have never advanced past the group stage in the CHL and now we are in the final 16, which I think is a great accomplishment. Now we want to make it all the way to the end. This is somewhat bittersweet as now I probably will not be able to join the national team in November, but I am happy that we advanced.

Linköping-Davos 2-3
After winning the first leg of the series against the swiss club Davos 7-4 thanks to two goals by Vilmos Galló, in the rematch the Swedish team took it a bit light and for two periods it looked like they might be in trouble. Davos had a 2-0 lead after the first period and made it 3-0 in the third which in total tied the teams up at 7-7 however Linköping was in the position to advance because of more road goals scored. Luckily for Galló and Linköping they scored twice in the third to advance to the next round. In the round of 16 they will be taking on HIFK from Finland. Vilmos Galló said after the game that it was hard to get motivated for the team as it looked like they had already advanced and the arena was almost empty.

As Sebők mentioned before he will probably not be able to join the national team in November because of the CHL this is also most likely with Galló as well who said he will try to only miss the start of the camp.
