Linkőping wins big against French club Gap in their last game of the Champions Hockey League group stage.
Going into their last game of the Champions Hockey League group stage Swedish club Linkőping already knew they had won the group it was just a matter of question by how many points they would win by.
In their final game they took Gap whom they had won against the first time they played. Gap scored first and took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, in the second Linkőping answered back by scoring five goals in the second period and tacked on a 6th goal in the final period for the 6-1 win.Linkőping have advanced to the next round of the Champions Hockey League With the winner of the JYP-Gap game being the other team.
"We had little pressure on us as we have already won the group. We had scoring chances all throughout the game, the ones we didn’t score on in the first period we managed to convert in the second which lead to the five goals."said Galló after the game, "I think I played well and had some scoring chances, the puck just didn’t bounce in my favor. Now we have to prepare for the next round."
