
Brasov-DHK 5-7
The home team went with Tőke in net as Debrecen countered with Dávid Gyenes in net. Artem Bezrukov made it 1-0 for Debrecen when he scored from the left faceoff dot. Minutes later Ian McDonald tied the game up on a nice solo effort. Later in the period Tomas Klempa gave Brasov their first lead of the game when he stuffed home the puck from close range. However less than a minute later the game was all tied up as Ákos Berta jumped on a loose puck and fired it home. McDonald put Brasov back on top in the second period when he was on the receiving end of a two on one. Debrecen tied after the ensuing faceoff as Berta won it with Artyom Vaszjunyin skating in and firing it past the goalie. Jesse Schutze set up Jared Brown on the power play to put Debrecen back up by one. In the the third period Berta scored his second of the game to put the visitors up by two goals. Zsolt Molnár set up Csaba Nagy to make it a one goal game. The two teams exchanged goals later in the game as Attila Nemeth made it 6-4, with Garrett Clarke getting Brasov again back within one. In the final minute of play Berta set up Brown for the seventh Debrecen goal.
FTC-UTE 3-2
Peter Sevela was staring in net for Ferencváros with Ales Sila going for UTE in the Budapest derby, Ladislav Sikorcin was back in the lineup for UTE. In the opening minutes of the game Ferencváros took advantage of a power play when Jereme Tendler banged home a Vladimir Dubek pass into the open net. Later in the period Ákos Kiss setup Carter Shinkaruk for the goal on the two on one. One second after UTE had killed a straight 5 on 3 penalty, Anze Ropret flipped home a loose puck to get UTE within one goal. In the third period Shinkaruk skated along the goal line and flipped the puck back handed over the shoulder of Sila to make it 3-1. Later in the third period Martin Frolik flipped the puck past Sevela to get UTE back within one score. In the end UTE pulled Sila for the extra attacker but they were not able to score.
