FTC-Telekom-UTE 2-0 (1-0, 1-0, 0-0)
Ferencváros celebrated its 90th anniversary with a derby game against UTE in the Tüskecsarnok. Ferencváros started the game somewhat rigid and had trouble creating chances on their first power play. UTE had a power play early in the game but Gergely Arany stood his ground in the net. Just as Fradi killed the penalty Dezső Roczanov almost scored a goal, but Dávid Duschek who was playing his first game for UTE made a crazy save to keep the game scoreless. Later in the period Richárd Hárdi set up Roczanov from behind the net for the goal to give FTC the 1-0 lead. Both teams were creating chances but the goalies stood their ground.

In the second period Fradi started off better Roczanov and Adrián Tóth had scoring chances but were unable to put the puck past Duschek. On the other side Taylor Stefishen and Peter Huba had opportunities to tie the game up. The game started to get chippy in the second period Ádám Hegyi was called for a spearing against András Benk and received 5+20 minutes. In the final minute of the second period Kariniemi setup Braden Walls for the one timer to make it 2-0.

Things settled down in the third period Anze Ropret picked up back to back penalties but UTE was not able to score. Later in the period Roczanov was also sent off but UTE was still not able to put the puck past Arany. In the closing minutes UTE pulled their goalie for the extra attacker but did not score. Gergely Arany picked up the shutout win as FTC extended their winning streak to 15 games.

Szabolcs Fodor, head coach, FTC: We would like to thank the fans who pushed us for 60 minutes this was an extra boost for us. Today’s game was played in a great environment, when we work hard things work out for us.

Zoltán Szilassy, head coach UTE: If you have two goals scored against you, you can usually win, however we did not score any goals, Dávid Duschek played great for us in net. In the past three games we have commited a number of stupid penalties but we need our experienced players to step up and play well.

Fehérvári Titánok-HKBudapest 2-5 (1-2, 0-1, 1-2)
Budapest already had the lead in the first minute of play in the game and opened up a two goal lead by the midway point. Fehérvár was missing a number of key players but in the 18th minute Fehérvár got on the scoreboard by the way of Mark Bennett. In the second period Attila Orbán picked up back to back penalties but the score did not change. HK Budapest had a two man advantage which they capitalized on as Patrik Szécsi scored to give Hoki Klub back the two goal lead. In the final period Fehérvár started to put pressure on the visitor net but did not score on their chances. The visitors scored on the power play again, this time it was Márk Egyed lighting the lamp. Fehérvár called timeout and pulled their goalie, but it was Levente Lakatos scoring an empty net goal for HK Budapest. In the final minute of play Attila Reiter scored to make it 5-2.

Dávid Kiss, head coach, Fehérvár: Our first shift reflected what we did on the ice throughout the game. In the opening seconds of the game we had scoring chances, but they came back on a counter attack and scored. We did not help our goalie much or left him out to dry, we did not work the way I would have liked to and from here on it was hard to win.

Tamás Gröschl, assistant coach, HK Budapest: We just closed out a tough series, this was our third game in four days. We wanted to get past our last few games and put our defence in order. I think we accomplished this today.

SC Csíkszereda-Gyergyói HK 9-0 (1-0, 4-0, 4-0)
This game started as a derby however that is not how it ended. Comparer to the past few games Csíkszereda stepped on the ice in a different mindset. Both teams were looking to get over a loss in their previous game. Csíkszereda was playing more determined and in the third minute of play they had scoring chances from Mikhnov and Csanád Fodor. Gyergyó had their first real scoring chance in the eight minute from Attila Góga. The first goal of the game was scored on a power play off of the stick of Panov.  In the second period the home team brought the heat, Tihamér Becze tried to score off of a counter attack but it was Alpár Salló who put the puck between the legs of Gellért Ruczuj to make it 2-0. Gyergyó was able to get themselves together and put pressure on Csíkszereda, however in the second half of the period Csíkszereda opened up the scoring as Zsombor Antal, Radim Valchar and Tamás Bíro found the back of the cage to open up a 5-0 lead. In the closing period Gyergyó was unable to get any closer as Csíkszereda scored four goals in the span of two and a half minutes. Valchar closed out the game with two goals.

Leo Gudas, head coach Csíkszereda: We were not able to score the past few games, we tried to get this worked out and it looks like we did today. We asked the team to take more shots on net and to be more aggressive.

Vitali Donika, head coach, Gyergyó: We played a good game against Debrecen even though we lost, we did everything we could to win. Today I don’t know what happened, we played hockey for one period but did not in the next two. We did not stick to our game plan, we did not play disciplined.

Schiller-Vasas-Corona Brasov 1-4 (0-2, 0-1, 1-1)
Brasov picked up another win and moved up to third place in the standings Jereme Tendler scored twice for the visiting team.

Balázs Ladányi, head coach, Vasas: As we have done so many times this season, we made things harder for ourselves. We started the game off well but in one situation we made three mistakes and we gifted them goals. Brasov is a stronger team than u, they are one of the top teams in the league. We can not have this attitude against anyone in the league. We can not play scared on the ice.

Greg Lindqvist, head coach, Brasov: This was our fourth game in five days and we were tired especially since we had a tough game on Sunday against UTE. We controlled the game right from the start and we picked up an important three points.
