Fradi closed out their Transylvanian trip with a win, UTE needed overtime to win with Vasas winning in a shootout against DEAC. Corey Bricknell won his first game as the head coach of Dunaújváros, with Fehérvár winning in Vienna.

Corona Brasov-FTC-Telekom 2-4 (1-2, 0-1, 1-1)
In the game between second and third place teams, the home team had the first lead thanks to a goal by Zsombor Molnár, but FTC had the lead by the ninth minute when Brett Switzer and Attila Pavuk scored. In the second period Ferencváros was able to play their own game, after they killed a penalty Fitzgerald set up Switzer for his second goal. With FTC up by two goals both teams had power plays that they were not able to take advantage of. Both teams picked up the pace in the third period, which paid off for Brasov as Levente Zsók scored for Brasov to make it a one score game. In the closing minutes Brasov pulled their goalie for the extra attacker but Attila Pavuk scored on the empty net for the 4-2 win.

Greg Lindqvist, head coach, Brasov: This was a good game especial in the first ten minutes, when we dominated the game. We were also the better team in the final ten minutes as well. However during the rest of the game we did not play the way we wanted to. Both goalies played well, we were not able to score as many to win the game. We had a lot of scoring chances but we did not convert on them. This is what hockey is like, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. We have a new game tomorrow.

Szabolcs Fodor, head coach, FTC-Telekom: I am happy since we were able to defeat a good team who has been playing well lately. The guys battled hard and we were able to win because of this. Our goalie played well but so did the entire team, this was the key to our success. We did not allow a shorthanded goal today, we only had one power play during the game that we did not score on but overall this was a good game for us.

Schiller-Vasas-DEAC 4-3 (3-1, 0-1, 0-1, 0-0, 1-0) S.O.
The game started off great for Vasas as they had a three goal lead 10 minutes into the game as Bence Bödök, Árpád Lőczi and Martin Turbucz scored for the home team. DEAC called time out and in the 17th minute Hugo Turcotte got one goal back for the visitors. The first penalty of the game was not called until the 28th minute of play, which DEAC took advantage of as Vladislav Kulesov scored to make it a one score game. DEAC kept on pushing and this paid off as Jakub Izacky tied the game up at 3-3. The game stayed tied through the end of regulation and after a scoreless overtime the game went to a shootout. Vasas switched goalies as Koitmaa was replaced by Balázs Tóth, this move paved off as Tóth saved all of the DEAC shots with Gergö Székely-Mádai scoring the only shot of the shootout for the second Vasas win of the season.

Zoltán Revák, assistant coach, Vasas: As a young team we have to learn what it is like when the opponent is pressing  to try to tie the game up. In the last few games we have seen just how close we are to the opponents. There are people that think that our project is not successful, with today’s win it is clear that this team has potential. We are on the right path and I want to congratulate the team for the way they played.
David Musial, head coach, DEAC: A team that is a sleep for the first 15 minutes of the game does not deserve to win the game. I do not understand this since we have players that are being paid to play hockey. What is positive that we were able to come back from being down 3-0. I don’t know what else to say, this was a bad game for us.

Vienna Capitals-Fehérvári Titánok 2-6 (1-2, 0-4, 1-0)
In the battle of the farm teams Fehérvár scored twice 20 seconds apart and had a 2-0 in the eighth minute as Jack Lewis and Patrik Kiss found the back of the net. In the 12th minute the Capitals got one goal back before the period was out. In the second period Fehérvár pulled away with four unanswered goal in the period. Lewis scored again off of a pass from Beukeboom with Andor Péter and Flórián Sándor with a bomb from the blueline. Before the period was out Lewis had completed his hat trick. The Capitals tried to cut their deficit but Martin Szeles played well in net. The Titánok held on to the lead and defeated the Capitals after losing their previous two.

Dávid Kiss, head coach, Fehérvár: We played very hectic in the first period and had a lot of penalties. We threw the puck away a lot. We played better in the second period which led to us scoring unanswered goals in the second period. In the third period you could feel that the opponents were getting tired, but they were still dangerous. Two of our players, Flórián Sándor and Andor Péter both scored their first goals of the season.

Dunaújváros Acélbikák-HK Budapest 7-1 (2-1, 3-0, 2-0)
DAB wanted to improve from the drubbing that they got the day before. Zsolt Azari gave the home team the early lead with Gergely Tóth doubling the lead. After a mistake by the defence Márk Egyed scored for Budapest to make it a one goal game after the first twenty minutes. DAB took their play up a level and pulled away in the second period. In a span of a minute and a half they scored twice as Franssila and Uski scored. It looked as if Huovinen made it 5-1 but after a video review the goal was disallowed. Three seconds later after a faceoff Martin Saluga redirected a shot by Tamás Lencsés, this time the goal counted. Saluga scored his second goal of the game 14 seconds into the third period. Hoki Klub kept on pushing but they were not able to beat Pinczés a second time as the young goalie picked up his first ERSTE Liga win of his career.

Corey Bricknell, head coach, Dunaújváros: This was our first game where we played in our system for 60 minutes. We had a lot of shots on net, all three forwards were always in their position with the defencemen staying back and our goalie played well.

Dusan Kapusta, head coach, HK Budapest: We have not been playing well as of late. We need to improve, mentally not physically. We always have someone who happens to have a bad game. Sometime our imports are not playing to the level that we would like them to be at and this leads to defeats.

UTE-Gyergyói HK 5-4 (3-0, 0-2, 1-2, 1-0) OT
This game was similar to the previous two games that the teams played in Újpest. The home team quickly opened up a 3-0 lead. Andrej Hebar, Ladislav Sikorcin and Martin Sági scored the three goals. Gyergyó came back with two goals in the second period as Vorobiev and Hunor Csergó found the back of the net even through UTE had more shots on net. In the third period Gyergyó tied the game up with a power play goal by Csergő but half a minute later Anze Ropret put the home team back on top. UTE had two late power plays but it was Gyergyó scoring the next goal by Elekes Darabont to send the game into overtime. In the extra period it was András Benk who scored the game winner.
