Brasov wins Romanian Derby, Galati and MAC also pick up wins

Galati turned in their second defensive win in two days as they shutout out DAB. Brasov turned it around to win the Romanian derby as MAC moved back to second place.

Galati-DAB 3-0
Dunáújváros traveled to Galati and had Villem-Henrik Koitmaa in net as Galati countered with Vlastimil Lakosil. The game started out with a scoreless opening twenty minutes with the first goal of the game being scored in the 27th minute by Vitaly Donika when he put the puck into the back of the cage. Galati pulled away in the third period as Ondrej Rusnák set up Phil Bushbacher for the third Galati goal. The Romanian club held on to the win and the three points as Lakosil pitched a shutout.

Brasov-Csíkszereda 4-1
In a game that counted for double the points the home team had Zoltán Tőke in net with Gellért Ruczuj for Csíkszereda. Brasov was only dressing three imports as Csíkszereda had six import players in their lineup. Árpád Mihály scored to give Brasov the lead, nine seconds later Ilya Solarev scored an unassisted goal to tie it up at 1-1. Minutes later Csíkszerda had flipped the score as Nathan Campbell put the puck past Tőke. Brasov took control in the second period as Ian McDonald tied the game up at 2-2, not much later Mihály set up Klempa for the power play goal. Brasov went up by two goals when Tomas Klempa scored his second goal of the game, which was enough for the win on home ice.

MAC-Titánok 4-2
Fehérvár came up to Budapest and had Alex Scola starting in net with the home team having Bence Bálizs in the cage. Early in the game MAC had a 5 on 3 power play that they capitalized on as Jeff Jubenville lifted home a rebound from just outside of the crease. MAC was able to score on the remaining power play as Tamás Pozsgai looped a shot from just inside of the blue line that made through traffic for the second goal. In the second period MAC opened up a 3-0 lead after Krisztián Nagy had a tape to tape pass to Jubenville redirected the pass into the back of the net. Not much later Fehérvár got on the scoreboard as there was a scramble in front of the MAC net and Szilárd Hamvai taped it between the legs of Bálizs. In the third period Gergő Nagy took a breakout pass from Levente lakatos, came down the right wing and lift the puck past Scola. Fehérvár cut it to a two goal game as a Tamás Láday shot was redirected by Martin Pillók. In the end Fehérvár pulled their goalie but were not able to tie the game up.
