István Bartalis, Forward, Fehérvár AV19 (EBEL)/Schwenninger (DEL): This is the second time that Bartalis has won the award as he had picked it up in 2013. After injuring his knee before the 2015 World Championships, he rehabbed it in the second half ofthe year. He started off 2016 healthy and was the leading scorer for Hungary in the A-Pool World Championships, which included a goal against Canada. During the offseason he left Fehérvár for DEL club Schwenninger where he is coached by former Hungarian national team coach Pat Cortina.
Lili Pintér, Forward, SDE HF (SDHL): Is in her second season in Sweden where she is playing in the top flight for SDE HF. With the women's national team she was the leading scorer for the team that won promotion from Division 1/B at the World Championships to Division 1/A.
Norbert Fekecs, Forward, Marczi Skate:Fekecs is a veteran forward on the inline scene as he has been a member of the national team forward for years. With the new World Championships format, there was no World Championships held. Instead the Hungarian national team entered a tournament in the Czech Republic, Fekecs ended up being the team's leading scorer.
“This is a great honor for me since a number of national team players have won this in the past. I was surprised that I won this since there are a number of other great players in this sport. I found out from one of my former players that I had won.”
