U20: National team opens camp before World Championships

The U20 national team has started training camp and have hit the ice with a full roster. The players were put through two practices, each lasting almost two hours. They will repeat this tomorrow as well. The team will have one final exhibition game in Kassa, Slovakia against Ukraine before the start of the tournament.

“We are trying to find players who can fit into the roles that we have on the team. We are looking at what form the players are in and who leaves everything on the ice. That being said everyone has been working real hard.” said head coach Márton Vas. “We need to see who is there mentally and also pays attention to the details and are doing what we are asking from them. We want everyone to be able to play in the tactics and the system that we ask.”

The junior national team as a short camp before the tournament, Vas also commented on this. “Yes we have short amount of time to prepare, unfortunately this was what we have to work with”
