First Czech Win in the Visegrád Cup

Poruba as the first team from the Czech Republic defeated Nowy Targ in the first ever Czech Republic win the Visegrád Cup.

The home team went with Kudela in the net with NOwy Targ countering with Odrobny. The home team jumped out to an early 1-0 lead as Patryk Wsol found the back of the net 82 seconds into the match. Jan Kana tied the game up for Poruba when they took advantage of their first power play before the midway point of the period. Minutes later Poruba had their first lead of the game by the way of Marek Sikora.

The second period came and went with no goals being scored but have three penalties with Poruba having one.

With just under ten minutes left to play Poruba opened up a two goal lead with Nejezchleb scoring to make it 3-0. Late in the game with Poruba shorthanded Nowy Targ pulled their goal to have the 6 on 5 but were not able to score as Poruba picked up the 3-1 win.
