Hungary ended up finishing second in the four nations tournament in Korea, there were a lot of positives in the three games that the coaching staff can draw from when they are putting together the final roster for the World Championships in April.

Rich Chernomaz: Energy wise I could see that the guys felt the travel and the three games. We you get fatigued like this the first thing that usually goes is the brain shuts off, which results to undisciplined mistakes. When you are fatigued you start to back up instead of stepping up which lets the opponents have the momentum. We had a couple chances in the second period on the powerplay to tie it up. We got what we wanted out of these three games. In the first two games we played to a T and stayed with in the system. The games competed hard and battled hard and we wanted to see, which guys can do this and which ones can not.

Krisztián Nagy: I think we played well considering the amount we travelled to get here, and the time we needed to prepare for these games, we came with a young squad and didn’t know what to expect. We played against a stable A-Pool team. In the first two games i got better, I think but in the third game I could feel that I was tired from the difference with the time zones and the lack of sleep, overall I think I had a positive experience of this.

Martin Sági: At the start I was a bit afraid of the pace of the game as I had never at this level before. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to keep the pace and this was a good game for me. My second game against Denmark was a step up, and I needed some time to get used to the pace, which I did in the second period. I noticed that I needed to think quicker against Denmark.

Dávid Duschek: Denmark was pushing from the start and we got a bit tired after the first two games and we took a number of penalties. We tried to do everything that we could and we had a great three games. I think I could help the guys in killing penalties.

Balázs Gőz: I felt great during the games, and I think so did the team. The team really worked well together. We were able to play within our tactics. Denmark was able to force their game on us and we were not able to go up against this.

Erik Keresztury: I think I played well all three games, in the first two games we played surprisingly well, as if we were completely fresh. In this last game we went out just like against Korea, however we were not as fresh mentally or physically as in the first two games. I tried to leave everything on the ice in this last game and I think because of this a preformed better.
