Monday was the last practice before the team travels as Tuesday is a game day and Wednesday a day off with the team travelling to Kiev on Thursday.
During the afternoon practice Goalie Coach Jukka Kontsas had some ice time with the goalies before the rest of the team went on the ice. During the practice session the team worked on all aspects of the game during the practice, such as faceoffs, breakout plays as well as special teams.
Head Coach Rich Chernomaz: We are getting to where we want to be by the World Championships. Right now we are just working on the smaller details, such as special teams, it will be a great help to be disciplined in that area. We are just making sure the positioning is where we want people to be and that everyone is on the same page, and answering the questions that need to be answered. We need to look at that everything is the way we want to it to be and what works against what opponent. The line combinations are coming together slowly, it is ashame that we have yet to see Sebők play, actually all year and from what we understand he had a good year. This year will be an opportunity for some other guys to to step and show what they can do.
