The coaching staff has decided to take 7 defencemen and 13 forwards to go along with the 2 goalies. After the two days in which the team was put through two longer practice sessions and and two scrimmages the coaching staff as decided to cut goalies Martin Szeles and Kristóf Nagy, defencemen Rajmund Bukor, Dávid Szabó and Gábor Bugár. The forwards who missed making the team were Benedek Madácsi, Árpád Lőczi, Hunor Császár, Ákos Nagy and Patrik Kiss.
The team will take on Norway on Wednesday at 17:40 before traveling to France on Friday. Hungary will open the tournament against Latvia on Sunday.
