‘Greens’ get revenge for loss to the ‘reds’ in inter squad scrimmage during the second day of the three day U20 mini camp.

The U20 national team went through a similar day as they did the day before as they dove deeper into the new systems and tactics that are being implemented into the U20 program. In the morning there was an intense 45 minute practice session and in the afternoon there was a rematch of last nights game, this time the green team defeated the reds 4-3. Team manager Levente Szilágyi was on the bench for the red team with green team being coached by goalie coach Csaba Várady. Head coach Jarmo Tolvanen and assistant coaches Dávid Kiss and Szabolcs Fodor scouted the game.

Barnabás Majoross, forward: After reviewing the performance in Sweden we realized that we need to work on the two areas in front of the net. We have been concentrating on improving our game in those areas. We played two scrimmages in the past two games and tomorrow we will find out who is the better team. We are all a bit tired so we will see how things are going.

Szabolcs Fodor, assistant coach: During the morning session we practiced what we are expecting to see from them in the future and during the World Championships. We are starting to see signs of the players picking up the system. We hope that the players will be able to pick everything up by the time November comes around. During the game we saw that some players are more ahead of other players in adjusting and understanding the new system.
