U16: Traveling Roster set

After a solid day on Thursday the U16 followed this up with the closing day of the camp with two separate scrimmages during the day. An hour and a half in the morning and 50 minutes in the afternoon. During this time the coaching staff was scouting the players as guest coaches Csaba Sarkadi and Patrik Popovics were behind the benches.

The final roster is made up of 3 goalies, 7 defencemen and 12 forwards for a total of 22 players. There are 6 Hungarian clubs represented on the team with one player coming each from Sweden and Switzerland.

Bence Svasznek, Head coach: We looked at the basic skills and the knowledge of the system and hockey understanding when we put the team together. We kept in the back of our mind that in Canada we will be playing on a smaller ice surface against players that are a year older. Picking the first half of the roster was easy, it's always the second half that is hard to pick. It was pretty hard to pick the final roster. We want everyone to play their best and play to the best of their ability. We want to play structured and organized hockey where we are improving from game to game.
