U15: Minicamp ends with 3-3 scrimmage tie

The U15 closed out a jam packed two day mini camp with a thrilling scrimmage.

The day started off with the 42 player group going through a tactical and systems meeting, just like the day before. However this time instead of going straight to the ice they were put through a series of physical tests to see where they are and how much they have improved from last season. This was followed up with an hour and a half of skills on the ice.

In the afternoon there was another theoretical session with the day closing out with an inter squad scrimmage between the ‘reds’ and the ‘white’ that ended up in a 3-3 draw. Csanád Okos and Szilárd Prakab were the two guest coaches on the bench, with the staff scouting from the seats.

András Horváth Head Coach: We are working with a 120 roster we looked at about 47 players at the last camp and another 42 players today.  The program was similar today as well, we worked on skating and stickhandling mostly. We also covered breakouts, neutral zone play, regroups and power play. The day finished up with us scouting the players during a scrimmage. Based of these two camps we will invite the best for the next camp from which we will be making the roster for the tournament in Poprad.
