On the third day of the World Selects Invitational Hungary again slit their two games. The two opponents on the third day of the tournament was ProHockey Melee and ProHockey McDonald, both clubs come from North America and had players from the United States and Canada.

HUNGARY-ProHockey Melee 1-0

For the opening game of the day the coaching staff decided to go with Dávid Csibi in net with Zoltán Straubinger serving as the backup goalie. In the opening twenty minutes of the game both teams had chances to score on the power play but neither managed to put the puck past the opposing netminder. The opening period came to a close with the teams deadlocked at 0-0.

The second period was much like the first as both teams had trouble scoring and neither team took advantage of their power play opportunities. With just under five minutes left to play Hungary broke through the deadlock with a power play goal coming from Levente Simon. Donát Horváth and Ádám Kiss were credited with the assists. Hungary held on to the 1-0 win as Dávid Csibi went the distance for the shutout win.

HUNGARY-ProHockey McDonald 3-6

For the second game of the day Zoltán Straubinger got the start between the pipes with Olivér Balázs as the backup goalie. Barnabás Dézsi opened up the scoring in the game in the early minutes, however McDonald tied the game up at 1-1 minutes later. By the midway point of the opening period McDonald had taken their first lead of the game thanks to a power play goal. Just as it looked as if Hungary had tied the game up on a goal by Levente Lambert, McDonald went back up by a goal as the North American team took a one goal lead into the intermission. In the opening minutes of the second period ProHockey McDonald went up by the score of 5-2. In the second half of the second period ProHockey scored their sixth goal of the game. In the final minute of the game Lambert scored his second goal of the game, this one coming on the power play. In the end Hungary came up on the short side of a 6-3 final score.

There are still a few games left on the final match day of the group stage, however it looks like Hungary will have finished in the top 16 teams and therefore it has qualified to the knockout stage of the tournament.
