SC Csíkszereda preview

This season Csíkszereda is going all out for the ERSTE Liga title, after last season the team has strengthened all areas of the roster and hope to pick up first place in every competition that they are entering this season.

Leo Gudas is back for his second season incharge of Sport Club, assisting all him in his work just like last season will be Levente Hozó. Ottó Onodi is back after a great season last year, but the club also signed former Galati goalie Vlastimil Lakosil. They have two excellent goalies who will be rotated in an effort to keep the goalie position fresh.

On defence the team has two former KHL defenders as Vyacheslav Belov is back for another season and they brought in Vitali Shulakov from Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk. They also have a pair of veteran players Botond Flinta and Szabolcs Papp, which means they have serviceable young players in Tihamér Győrfy and Alpár Salló. Arnold Bors will also get playing time in the back end.

The forward unit has depth the team brought back former Russian national team players Pyotr Schastlivy and Andrei Taratukhin who are leaders not only on the ice but in the locker room as well. Radim Valchar looks to have found a home in Transylvania as he will be entering his third season with the team. Csíkszerda signed Konstantin Panov who last season was a team captain in the KHL and Tihamér Becze returns to his former team after being away for four seasons. With these five players and Szilárd Rokaly who had a tremendous rookie year, Csíkszereda already has two very strong scoring line. Zsombor Antal was just under a point a game, Csanád Fodor and Tamás Farkas can play anywhere in the top tree line. Despite having an injury plagued season last year in Fehérvár, Tamás Részegh is an excellent addition to the team to bolster the scoring. Eduard Casaneau is young player to keep an eye on as he enters his first real season of pro hockey. Róbert Egyed, Hugó Gecse and Zoltán Sándor are two young forwards who will get playing time throughout the season, who can find the back of the net as well.
