We will find out on September 9th who is the best team in Hungary. The 2017-18 ERSTE Liga champions and Hungarian champions MAC Budapest will be taking on Fehérvár AV19 who competes in the Austrian based EBEL.
The Tüskecsarnok will play host to the 2018 Super Cup with the match being held on September 9th, one week before the start of the Extraliga and the EBEL. The teams will most likely be playing with the full final rosters.
The Fehérvári Titánok and the MAC Budapest have been battling each other in the ERSTE Liga for years. The last time Fehérvár AV19 and MAC Budapest faced off against each other was was during the 2015-16 Hungarian Cup semi finals, which Fehérvár took by the score of 3-1. Sarauer, Bodó and Benk scored for the winning team with Saarenpaa scoring the Budapest goal. Since then Brance Orbán, Chris Bodó, Miklós Rajna and Bence Stipsicz have switched teams since then.
