The MOL League clubs have voted and the results are in on who was the best goalie, defenseman and forward during the forty game regular season.

Best Forward: Keegan Dansereau, Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák

The 29 year old Saskatoon, Canada native was also the leading scorer this year in the league with 34 goals and 37 assists for a total of 71 points in 39 games. In the playoffs he had another 10 in 7 games. This was Dansereau’s third season in the league, after spending the first two in Miskolc he signed with Dunaújváros in the offseason.

Best Defenceman: Sean Escobedo, MAC Budapest

The New York city native joined the MOL League and MAC Budapest during the offseason and has had productive season in both ends of the ice. “I'm very honored to have just been in the discussion for the award let alone win it. This says a lot about our defensive unit as a team because I couldn't do anything without those guys."

Best Goalie: Bence Bálizs, MAC Budapest

Bálizs just completed his second season with MAC Budapest, he was also reunited with his former goalie coach Jukka Kontsas, who he credits for the improved play this season. “I am honored for receiving this award and I would like to thank everyone that voted for me. I am bit surprised that I won this. This season I did not have as many peaks and valleys during the regular season as i did last year. Having a goalie coach is great because it's as if I have a third eye, he may see things that I don’t. At my age I can't really change my style, it is more about seeing things from another point of view.”
