Payment system

It is important to know that with in the arena cash payment in not accepted, since January payment can only be made via card. (This is the arena’s own rule).

Since 1 January 2018 Papp László Budapest Sportaréna has only been accepting non-cash payments at its food stalls. To speed up the lines only debit or credit cards are accepted at the food stalls. Those who don’t have debit or credit card are able to transfer money to a contactless smart card at any of the six vending machines in the Arena, which card can be used for all services offered on-site. This pre-paid card is equal to a standard debit card, so visitors are able to use this card anywhere else in the World.

Since the HIHF is only renting the facility for the world championships all arena rules pertain to the event as well. This means that the snack bars in the arena will have the same selection as it has had in the past.

The snack bars will also only accept card payment.

Stands/Tribune

The spectator stands will be cleared out after every game and the arena will be cleaned, this means that even if you have an event pass you will need to leave the spectating area between games. Please be aware of this.

A ticket bar code if good for one single entry, the pass barcode is good for every game that the pass covers and for each game it can be used for one single entry. Electronic tickets do not need to be exchanged for wrist bands or another ticket.

If anyone would like to smoke during the duration of a game, there will be separate zone for this. This is important to know, if you leave the arena through another exit you will not be able to come back into the arena.
