Rastislav Ondrejik: We discussed after the opening game what we needed to change for us to be successful. I am pleased with the way the boys are open to learning. It is evident on the ice how much they are paying attention to the details. These changes were resulted in their attitude against the Italian.

The neighbors to the west held on to the one goal lead as they moved onto the finals as Hungary will be playing for the bronze.

Tamás Farkas, goalie coach: The guys were well prepared for the game and have been improving from game to game. This is why we were able to stay in the game from start to finish, this is why we are here and the program is about improving and getting better. We are playing games here that we usually do not run into from day to day. It is great that this was the second tournament for this age group during the season and we have been able to see six different goalies play. We will have difficult decisions to make before the end of season tournament when we go to Riga.
