DVTK and MAC to meet in the MOL League Finals

DVTK squeaked out a one goal win thanks to their goalie Attila Adorján and earned their third straight appearance in the finals MAC did what they have all series against Debrecen to earn a chance to get revenge on Diósgyőr in the finals.

DVTK-UTE 2-1
As expected Újpest had Ales Sila in net, the team was still missing Peter Huba and Nilan Nagy. DVTK also stuck with their starting goalie in Attila Adorján however they had some changes in their lineup, Otto Szopos was out and László Ritó was back. After a scoreless first period DVTK got on the scoreboard first by the way of Nikandrosz Galanisz who took a shot from the blue line and went through. Minutes later Martin Sági jumped a loose puck, and skated in on goal and slipped it past Sila. Late in the game Ádám hegyi put a shot on net from the blue line that was saved but András Benk was there to put the rebound in. Újpest pulled their goalie for the extra attacker but were unable to tie the game up.

MAC-DHK 5-1
The home team started Bence Bálizs in net however Norbert Zaka was serving as the backup in the place of Gergely Arany. Also out of the lineup was Arnold Silló and Dávid Jászai with Drew Olson sitting out a suspension. Tamás Pozsgai was back from an injury, whereas Kristóf Schmál is still injured. Debrecen stuck with the hot hand in net as József Pleszkán started in net, they also had Jared Brown and Norbert Hári back from suspension. Come back from injuries was Zsolt Wéber, and Jesse Dudás however Brad Smith, László Pados, Valeri Sadikov, Arnold Varga, Norbert Dancsfalvi, Alexi Kosourov and Artyom Vaszjunyin were all out with injuries. In the first period Balázs Somogyi put a shot on net, Áron Könczei was ready to put the rebound home to give MAC the lead. Minutes later after a flurry of shots around the net Jon Booras stuffed it home. Eight seconds into the second period MAC scored a power play goal as Vladimir Nikiforov centered to Jeff Jubinville put slipped it into the back of the cage. Debrecen made it a two score game when Jesse Schutz picked up a loose puck on the right wing and skated in on Bálizs and put it past the MAC goalie. Tamás Pozsgai got MAC back up by three goals when he forced a turnover on the penalty kill and golfed  home a shot from the left faceoff circle. In the final minute of the game Bronson Kovács scored from the right faceoff circle.
