The Disciplinary Committee investigated the MOL League game MOL 254 (MAC Budapest – Debreceni HK) where after 42 minutes Olson DREW (MAC Budapest) penalized 5+20 minutes (KNEE, GA-MI). The Disciplinary Committee made the following conclusions:
The player in the 42th minutes of the match, collided with an opponent.

IIHF RULE 153 – KNEEING
DEFINITION: A skater who extends his knee for the purpose of making contact with an opponent. A skater who uses his knee to make contact with an opponent will be assessed at least a minor penalty. A skater who injures or recklessly endangers an opponent by kneeing will be assessed a major penalty and automatic game-misconduct penalty or match penalty.

According to the he Disciplinary Committee, the player collided with his knee with the opponetnt player, who posessed the puck. Such impacts are particularly dangerous and should be avoided in all cases.

The Disciplinary Commitee suspends Drew OLSON, the player of MAC Budapest for 2 matches.

The player will spend down his sentence at the next MOL League matches.
