Debrecen forces a fifth game, DVTK one win away from the finals

DVTK managed to flip the score and pick up the road win against UTE, with this they are one win away from the finals. MAC travelled to Debrecen to close out the semi finals with clean sweep however Debrecen won to live for another day.

UTE-DVTK 2-5
Visiting Diósgyőr had Attila Adorján between the pipes. UTE had Ales Sila but they were missing some players, Nilan Nagy and Peter Huba were out with injuries, Róbert Dömötör was back from a suspension. In the opening minutes of the game Gergő Tóth sprang Martin Pápa who skated in slipped the puck past Adorján. Minutes later UTE opened up a two goal lead on home ice as Martin Frolik banged home a rebound off of a Karol Csányi shot. Late in the opening period DVTK tied it up on a two on one with Grant Toulmin scoring the goal. In the second period DVTK flipped the score in a span of 33 seconds, Pete Sakaris made a pass back to the slot where Andrew Johnston was waiting to tie the game up. Diósgyőr took the lead when Bálint Magosi stripped the puck from Dávid Pokornyi behind the net and made a backdoor pass to Nikandrosz Galanisz. In the third period Magosi scored when he put a rebound in off of a long shot from Jarkko Leppanen. In the final minute of play Attila Pavuk was credited with an empty net goal.

DHK-MAC 4-2
The visiting team had Bence Bálizs starting in net, Drew Olson was sitting out a suspension with Tamás Pozsgai and Kristóf Schmál were out with an injuries, Arnold Silló was also missing however Dávid Jászai was back in the lineup. Debrecen had József Pleszkán in net with Dávid Gyenes serving as the backup this time around. Debrecen was playing without Jesse Dudás and Artyom Vaszjunyin who picked up injuries in game three. László Pados, Arnold Varga, Zsolt Wéber, Norbert Dancsfalvi and Alexei Kosourov were all out as well. Jared Brown and Norbert Hári were sitting out suspensions, with Artem Bezrukov back from his suspension. Because of the short bench Dávid Jancsó made his MOL League debut with Artyom Szokolov also dressing. After a scoreless first period Debrecen scored first in the second period when they skated in on a 3 on 2 that ended with Sergei Piskunov scoring a goal. MAC tied the game up after Jon Booras got the puck from Jeff Jubinville, and put it around Pleszkán for the goal. MAC took the first lead of the game on a shorthanded goal when Booras redirected a Roland Vokla shot. In the third period Debrecen tied the game up on a power play goal when Jesse Schultz scored off of a rebound from  a Valeri Sadikov shot. Later in the period Schultz scored his second of the game, this time off of a pass from Artyom Szokolov. MAC pulled the goalie for the extra attacker, but in the end Martin Saluga scored an empty net goal.
